Insertion/Extraction Tool for Powerpole® 15/30/45 Amp Contacts. Ideal for inserting contacts when using smaller wire gauges and/or highly flexible wire.
The Anderson Powerpole® Insertion Removal tool is specifically designed for use with the PP15-PP45 series Powerpole® connector. Easily remove already inserted contacts from housings for maitenenace and repair, and insert contacts into empty housings.
Insertion Instructions:
Insert contact and wire into each housing from rear. Position contact and, using insertion/removal tool, push forward so contact slips under barrier and snaps over retaining spring. Repeat for all wires with contacts.
Extraction Instructions:
Contact removal: place one forward prong of insertion/removal tool between contact and spring; using rotary motion, pull wire until prong disengages contact from spring. Remove from rear of housing once disengaged.
WARNING:
UTMOST CAUTION SHOULD BE USED WHEN WORKING ON LIVE CONNECTOR CONTACTS!
