The Kussmaul 445-5262-0 EV 40 Series Charger is a 40 amp, 12 volt three-stage battery charger built for emergency vehicles. It quickly replenishes batteries at up to 40A, then drops to a lower float voltage to maintain them without overcharging – with clean output that won't interfere with radios and other mobile electronics.
A 15A auxiliary output with power-source selector switch runs accessory loads such as air compressor pumps, hand lights and portable radio chargers while the vehicle is on shoreline. At just 3.2 inches high it fits where taller chargers won't, and a heavy-duty terminal block and powder-coat finish stand up to apparatus duty.
